Since a MagLev train uses electromagnetic energy to move, which one or which combination of Simple Machines (Lever, Wheel & Axel, Pulley, Inclined Plane, Wedge, or Screw) is used?
The magnetic fields of the train and track are like intermeshed wave patterns. The magnetic field of the track may move forward, or the field of the train may move backward. Inertia causes the train to rise up the slope of the track’s field and then slide down the slope causing the train to accelerate. This is most analogous to an inclined plane.
