Ways to cut a cable lock?

I’ve accidentally lost my only key to my cable lock for my bike, now my bike’s waiting secured tight at a local Target mall, both chassis and front wheel tied and locked.

Two ways come to mind. Both ways will destroy the cable lock.
1. use a large pair of bolt cutters to cut the cable.
2. (My preferred method) Get a 4 pound short handled sledge hammer (aka: single jack), a 1-inch wide cold chisel, and a large piece of iron stock to act as backing. Place the cable over your iron stock backing, then while wearing safety glasses, center the 1-inch cold chisel over the cable, then using the sledge hammer, cut the cable in half. (This is a preferred method of cutting industrial stainless steel cable).
