I go to this grammar school. I’ve been getting in trouble a lot lately. I’ve set the school fire alarm off, Had a fight with another student, skipped a couple lessons etc, The headmaster said its time to change your ways an he said you have no choice now but to behave. And i did and i started to take my education seriously. I was on report booklet and did exceptionaly well ,But i slipped up at a class assembly in front of my whole year we were doing an assembly about cultures i was last, and thought it would be funny to say ”Most Pakistani’s are alike we are all brown, we all eat curry and we all have big penis’s” I didn’t really think it was going to be a big deal everyone of course laughed but now my mum and me have been invited for a meeting determining my future at the school. I’m going this Monday and need advise on how i can get out of this situation. I seriously thought the teachers were going to laugh too and thought it wasn’t such a big deal. HELP ME OUT PLEASE!

Sounds like you have a need for attention that you need to figure out. You need to get attention for being good and not just being bad. You have to admit this if you want a chance and maybe start visiting a school counselor once a week until you really straighten up. Also you need to find something that gets you attention in a good way, like sports or something competitive. You are bored and are just filling in the gap the only way you know how.

Try to get into some sport, I bet you are competitive and will try hard and it will keep you out of trouble.

You would of gotten just as big a laugh if you said many Pakistani’s eat peacocks and love soccer and kite flying…

Also find out more about your culture. You can ask to make up for your slip up by doing a real report on the history of Pakistan and how the Brits invaded it and how it became independent from India. You can also talk about the Sepoy revolt, which came about because soldiers had to bite into bullets that were kept dry with beef or pork fat.

So now you are being on the road to being someone laughs at and getting the boot or you can change course by really letting people know you. And try not to eat curry before you go in for your meeting…
